The second Penrose-parquet is painted, and the pattern coming from the painting allows only one combination of the shapes. The base is a Penrose-tiling. The intersection of the shapes' diagonals is a corner for a painted shape. These points are connected around of a point, where the real shapes' corners are.

This method gives the negative of a tiling. This second tiling is very different from the original. It is constructed from 75 kind of shapes, some of them is so rare, that there is none of them in the installation. The negative tiling visualize some interesting properties of the system. Shows an internal rhythm what can not be seen by the original tiling. The two tilings, the real and the painted mutually create themselves.

Ezt az eljárást egy fedés negatívjának nevezik. Ennek a második fedésnek teljesen más tulajdonságai vannak, mint az elsőnek. Hetvenöt féle idom található benne, némelyik annyira ritka, hogy a munkában elő sem fordul. A fedés negatívja azonban megvilágítja a rendszer néhány fontos tulajdonságát. Kirajzol egy olyan belső ritmust, amely az eredeti Penrose-fedésben láthatatlan. A két síklefedés, a festett és a valóságos kölcsönösen feltételezi egymást.
